POLICIES AND PROCEDURES: 

You MUST READ all Policies and Procedures and sign a completed Consignor Contract in the store in order to consign with The Yellow Rose. Your Consignor Contract is provided for you on your first visit.

 

In order to accommodate hundreds of consignors, we ask that you bring in a LIMIT of 10 items per day. Thank you!

What does The Yellow Rose accept? NEW and USED furniture, women's clothing, fashion jewelry, accessories, shoes, purses, cd's, dvd's, appliances, home decor for every room and gifts for women. The Yellow Rose DOES NOT accept  any item that is extremely dated or used; any item that is not clean; we do not accept under garments or sleepwear.

Do I need an appointment? NO! Items are accepted for consignment during regular business hours. There is no need for an appointment. Please drop off at your convenience on any day we are accepting.

When are you accepting? Check the website for current accepting days and list of items being accepted or not accepted at that time. The Yellow Rose is very specific as to what we are accepting or not accepting. Drive on by the store and check the SIGN posted at the front entrance of the store. RED sign is posted when we are NOT accepting and BROWN sign is posted when we ARE accepting.   

How do I bring in my CLOTHES? Must be brought in on hangers, cleaned, not wrinkled and ready for sale immediately. The Yellow Rose does not accept wrinkled clothing. The Yellow Rose staff do not clean, iron or steam clothing. Don't spend money to dry clean them, just fluff them up in the dryer and make them smell and look great to sell!

How can I drop off FURNITURE? Must be cleaned and ready for immediate sale. Furniture must be in excellent condition, with all working parts and looking great or it will not sell. It's best to give us a call first if you are bringing in furniture to check if we have room for your items.

How do I bring in all my HOME DECOR? Must be cleaned and ready for immediate sale. No dust, dirt, or stains on items allowed. Make your items look great!

Do you need my name on my stuff? Yes! When dropping off items for consignment, it is your responsibility to have your name on your items, either on each individual item or on the box you bring it in, or wrapped around your items, etc. The Yellow Rose has tags available for you right in the store to put your name on your items when you arrive. DO NOT leave items outside of the store doors when The Yellow Rose is closed, in front or back of the store. There is no guarantee we would receive those items. The Yellow Rose does not provide a receipt for items dropped off. Consignors are able to look up their items online at www.MyResaleWeb.com.

The Yellow Rose provides a beautiful store and dedicated staff to sell your items for 30 days at "full price" that The Yellow Rose decides upon for the item. If your item does not sell after 30 days, it is automatically marked down 25% off for an additional 15 days, making your item for sale a total of 45 days. We reserve the right to reduce prices on any item being consigned at any time. Your item may be marked 25% off or more if item is damaged or has been in the store selling for over 30 days. Your item may be marked down 50% or more if past the 45 days and still has not sold.  If you need or want any item back for any reason, it is your responsibility to come into the store, find your item and take it home with you BEFORE the 45 days is complete. The Yellow Rose staff does not pull, hold or call to return your items. Items that have not sold or have not been picked up by consignor become the sole property of The Yellow Rose.

We will do our best to protect your items in our store and we absolutely prosecute to the full extent of the law, however, we are not responsible for loss or damage to any item for any reason, including theft or fire.  

The Yellow Rose and its employees reserve the right to contact you by phone and/or e-mail listed on the Consignor Contract in order to conduct business. The Yellow Rose does not and will not sell consignor personal information at any time.

HOW DO I GET PAID? The Yellow Rose PAYS WITH CASH or STORE CREDIT. We do not distribute checks (saving trees!) unless you live in a different state or communities over an hour away from the store.  When you place your items on consignment, let us know if you want your items sold as STORE CREDIT or CASH. When you decide to sell your items for Store Credit you receive 50% of the final sale and can utilize your money earned to make purchases within the store. If you decide to sell your items for Cash, you receive 30% of the final sale price and may receive a "Cash Out" of money. When you would like to receive your cash, this is called a  "CASH OUT".  You are able to view your personal account balance on www.MyResaleWeb.com and you can come in to the store to collect your Cash Out OR use your account to purchase something special in the store!  At any time, you are allowed to use your account to make a purchase at The Yellow Rose. The Yellow Rose does not keep a safe on sight, and keeps a limited amount of cash in the store for our safety and yours.  Your Store Credit and Cash balance expires after 6 months if not used. "Cash Out" may not be available at every moment of every business day.

HOW CAN I CHANGE MY ACCOUNT? If you initially begin selling your items on STORE CREDIT and would like to switch to utilizing the CASH account system, your account must be zero in order to change status. If you would like to switch from a CASH account to utilize selling your items on STORE CREDIT, your account must be zero in order to switch. It is your responsibility to let The Yellow Rose know you would like to switch your account when you begin selling any item.

What are BUYER'S FEES? Fees are placed on all items over $20.00 in order to help cover costs such as rental store property, wonderful employees, insurances, internet, MyResaleWeb, costly advertising, utilities, taxes and transaction fees we pay to help sell your item. Buyer's Fees begin at $1.00 for any item priced over $20.00. Buyer's Fees are not shared with the Consignor.

If you would like a PRINT OUT of your account, there is a $1.00 PRINTING FEE. We pay monthly expenses to offer www.MyResaleWeb.com for your convenience to access your account at home. This saves time, money, ink, paper, etc. Thank you for your understanding.

We reserve the right to donate any item at any time accepted for consignment that is found to have any defect such as holes, tears, stains, smells, broken, etc.

Any item that is not removed from the store after purchase within thirty (30) days from the date of purchase becomes the sole property of The Yellow Rose. The Yellow Rose will either re-sell the item or donate it to the charity of our choice. Thank you for your understanding that we are not a storage unit.

We reserve the right to change this contract at any time and will give sufficient notice of any changes to contract.
